'Anaconda' Movie Review

Released: December 25th, 2025

Watched: January 11th, 2026

There's really not much to say about 'Anaconda'. It is a movie that exists, it has Paul Rudd and Jack Black in it, there are some funny moments in it, and there are a lot of very bland moments in it. The most interesting part of 'Anaconda' is its tone. I feel that there are plenty of scenes in the movie that are meant to be comedic but aren't played up to be funny, like our opening with Rudd's character or the reveal over the IP.
That's not to say there aren't any funny moments. Selton Mello's snake handler is the most consistently funny character in the film to me and the moment after Zhan's character takes some mystery pills is good as well. At the end of the day, the worst crime this movie commits is being forgettable.
